BRIDGEPORT - A manufacturing and workforce development forum will be hosted by U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays, R-4, on Tuesday.

 

The session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the University of Bridgeport's Arnold Bernhard Arts and Humanities Center, Tower Room, 84 Iranistan Ave. Bridgeport. Contributors will include Shays, Neil A. Salonen, president of the University of Bridgeport, and Joseph Carbone, president and CEO, The WorkPlace, Inc. The session will include a panel discussion on "trends, challenges and opportunities" in the manufacturing sector. The discussion will include opportunities in the green economy and the readiness of our workforce.

 

The public is invited to attend.
